Born in Santiago, Chile in 1999, Antonio Hasbún-González is a composer and classical guitarist working at the intersection of instrumental and electronic music. His work explores algorithmic composition, improvisation, and the connections between music, literature, speech, and sonology. His compositional practice is rooted in timbral exploration, extended techniques, and the use of systemic musical processes as structural material.

Hasbún-González’s output ranges from solo works developed through close collaboration with performers—such as Adrián Sandí (Hawker Hunter, 2025) and Vicente Moronta (Off the Record, 2025)—to ensemble and orchestral pieces. His music has been performed in Austria, Spain, and Chile, including presentations at renowned festivals such as Mixtur (2025) and Suena (2024).

He began his studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he obtained a double bachelor’s degree in composition and classical guitar performance. He is currently pursuing further studies in electronic music at The Institute of Sonology, under the guidance of Richard Barrett.

As a guitarist, Hasbún-González focuses primarily on modern and contemporary repertoire, with works by composers such as Brian Ferneyhough, Maurizio Pisati, and Alberto Ginastera, while also engaging with early music, particularly the works of J. S. Bach.
